Virginia L. Bartlett is a clinical ethics consultant, philosopher, teacher, scholar and writer. She serves as the Assistant Director for the Center for Healthcare Ethics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She is the author of Elements of Moral Experience in Clinical Ethics Consultation Training and Practice: Sharing Stories with Strangers (Routledge 2023). Her second book, Reflective Practice in Clinical Ethics: A Workbook for Professional Development, will be published by Routledge in late 2026.
In addition to professional writing, Dr. Bartlett also writes children’s books, most recently Not Her Bed (Warren Publishing, 2026).
